Born and raised in Montreal, Cindy moved to Winnipeg in the mid-eighties. She started dabbling in clay in the early nineties, gradually building her skills and easing into a professional practice. She started with thrown vessels, explored raku firing, but sculpture is where she found her passion. The allure of the human body and its infinite variations ignites her imagination. Cindy is a long time member of Clifton Studios Co-op in Winnipeg and is currently serving as president. A one-year mentorship program with MAWA (Mentoring Artist or Women’s Art) provided her with the necessary tools to step to the forefront of the art world.
