Gloria De Neve graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Education Degree from the University of Manitoba, followed by studies in Human Ecology, and with the British Craftsman Association in England and Wales.
Gloria’s work reveals a personal exploration of the human condition at all levels ….. the physical, psychological, social and spiritual . Her imagery balances the tension in the fragility and vulnerability of the physical body …............. with the quiet timelessness and strength of the human spirit. Expressions of the spirit are interpreted within the human form and images of the "Spirit Shield". All of Gloria's work is hand-sculpted, smoke fired and Raku fired , a method which dates back to 16th century Japan
